The Warrior Chorus- Arts and Humanities in Action is a veteran-led national initiative hosted by Aquila Theatre with NYU, Columbia University, the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Southern California that trains veterans to present innovative public programs to Americans based on classical literature and how it speaks to us today. The New York City Warrior Chorus will present this innovative free program at John Hat Homestead with the readings from ancient Greek and Roman drama, accompanied by modern works created by Veteran works inspired from the readings. A public discussion will follow as the aim of this dynamic program is to foster meaningful dialogue between the veteran and civilian communities and all are welcome to attend. This live program will be guided by Professor Peter Meineck of the Classics Department at New York University. It will run for approximately 75 minutes, including time after the presentation for questions and talk back from the audience. More information can be found atwww.warriorchorus.org.
